The Valencian Institute of Microbiology is a private reference laboratory with professional specialists involved in certain areas.
The center began operations in 1995 performing microbiological tests as a Reference Center for Public and Private hospitals, epidemiological surveillance studies of Public Health, and surveillance studies for antimicrobial resistance to pharmaceutical companies.
Among our objectives is the satisfaction of customer needs to solve any microbiological problems that may arise. To do this, we have an appropriate team of people, with the required instrumental needed, laboratories biosafety level 3, biological safety cabinet class III, and experience in the less common areas of microbiological diagnosis, including cell Virology-cultures, Molecular Microbiology and nucleic acid sequencing, as well as experimental animals for microbiological tests that require it .
As an example of some special tests detection and typing of Clostridium botulinum and Clostridium tetani, detection of rabies virus by intracerebral inoculation neutralization tests to detect antibodies, diphtheria antitoxin in guinea pigs, neutralization tests for anti-poliovirus types 1, 2 and 3, neutralization test for anti-measles virus, anti-rabies virus neutralization and inhibition of fluorescents antibodies etc.
In order to meet the needs of microbiological diagnosis, the center serves all customers needs raised by developing every effort to do so.
