HIV-1. HIV-1 resistance to integrase and fusion (gp41) inhibitors.

Therapeutic molecules whose target of action is to inhibit virus integrase (e.gr. Raltegravir -IsentressR -...), or prevent fusion of the viral envelope gp41 with the cellular receptor (fusion inhibitors, e.gr. Enfuvirtide -FuzeonR-), has prompted interest in knowing resistance mutations of genes codifying the integrase or the gp41. We offer detecting mutations of the integrase gene and the gp41 gene. This implies for the integrase gene, 262 codons sequencing, that should be performed in two parts. We also offer gp41 gene sequencing to detect resistance to fusion inhibitors, sequencing codons 1 to 49.
